It was with great sadness that all the staff at Wheldon Contracts learned of the tragic death of Clive’s eldest son Dan last weekend. Many of us at Wheldons have followed Dan’s career in motor sport for over twenty years, from the early days of karting, right through to his major successes in Indycar, winning both the Championship and the Indianapolis 500 in 2005 and then the Indy 500 once more, earlier this year.

Dan was born to race, and other than his devotion to his wife Susie and his young sons Sebastian and Oliver, it was what he enjoyed doing most. Dan will be sorely missed by everybody who knew him. He never let the fame he achieved change him in any way and always had time for anyone who wanted to talk about his beloved motor racing.

As a company, we should try to continue as normal, but would request that anyone contacting Wheldon Contracts & Services should respect that the Family and the employees of Wheldon Contracts are going through a very difficult period at the present time.
